The 23-times TT winner, fresh from setting a new lap record of 132.701mph during his Senior win at this year's Isle of Man TT Races, will wow the crowds on Friday morning.
The RC213V-S a road-legal machine, based on the RC213V with which Honda won back-to-back MotoGP championships in 2013 and 2014. It will be produced in limited numbers, going on sale to the public from 13 July via a dedicated website: www.rc213v-s.com.
John McGuinness, excited at the prospect, says:
"Goodwood has become the global focus of all things high-octane. The world will have its eyes on this usually sleepy corner of Sussex at the weekend and it's an honour to be first up the hill on such an exclusive machine.
"The RC sums up Honda's philosophy about learning from racing to make its road bikes the best they can be. I can't wait to see what it's got!"
Joining McGuinness on the RC213V-S at Goodwood, reigning World Superbike champion, Sylvain Guintoli will ride it on Saturday. British MotoGP rider, Scott Redding takes to the hill on Sunday.
